Men on robbery charge to face court

The two men who allegedly robbed a woman in St Andrew last month and were confronted by a licensed gun owner have now been charged.

Miguel Stone, 25, of Sussex Lane in Franklin Town and Paul Alexander, 19, of York Street in Kingston 16 are both accused with common-law assault, robbery with aggravation, and illegal possession of a handgun.

The incident took place near the intersection of Retreat and Seymour avenues in St. Andrew on Tuesday, July 19,

According to the Half-Way Tree Police, a licensed gun owner witnessed a woman being robbed at gunpoint at around 11:45 a.m. by Stone and Alexander, according to the witness.

According to the authorities, the licensed gun owner confronted the men, causing the Honda motorcycle they were riding to crash.

Both males were brought to the hospital after the police were called.

Following their identification, Alexander and Stone were charged on Tuesday.
